BIND Associates’ Board Chair participated in the inaugural Liberia Annual Diaspora Conference in Washington, D.C., where Senate President Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence joined diaspora leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders in discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between Liberia and its global diaspora community. The conference brought together Liberians from across the United States and other parts of the world to explore how diaspora engagement can contribute to national development and long-term economic growth.
Held under the theme “Building the Future Together: Reconciliation, National Healing, Growth and Prosperity,” the conference served as an important platform for dialogue on investment, entrepreneurship, governance, and the role of diaspora professionals in supporting Liberia’s development agenda. Participants reflected on ways the diaspora can contribute not only through remittances but also through knowledge exchange, business partnerships, and strategic investments that support sustainable development.
The event highlighted the growing recognition across African countries that diaspora communities are critical partners in national progress. Diaspora professionals and entrepreneurs bring valuable global expertise, networks, and capital that can help strengthen institutions, expand economic opportunities, and support innovation across key sectors.
BIND Associates’ engagement in forums such as the Liberia Diaspora Conference reflects its broader commitment to supporting diaspora-driven collaboration and partnerships that connect global talent with opportunities across Africa. By participating in conversations that bridge diaspora expertise and national priorities, BIND continues to contribute to dialogue on inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across the continent.
